Josh Gilreath graduated from Amory High School with honors. During his high school football career he was selected to the all division team and received the most dedicated player award for the 1994 Class 3-A State Champion Amory Panthers. He then continued to pursue success on the grid iron as a walk on linebacker for the MSU Bulldogs. At MSU, Josh graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biological Engineering. His hard work ethic was noticed by the Head Coach Jackie Sherrill and Josh received an opportunity to join the MSU football staff as graduate assistant. After working on Coach Sherrill's staff for two years, Gilreath joined Cam Cameron's staff at Indiana University in 2001.

Throughout his playing and coaching career at both MSU and Indiana University, Josh was consistently involved with the FCA. It was in those meetings where Josh saw his relationship with Jesus Christ grow.

The influence that athletics can have on people became more and more evident in Josh's life. While coaching at Indiana University, Washington Redskin wide receive and former Indiana Quarterback said "God sent Josh to Indiana University to help me strengthen my walk with the Lord!"

In 2002, Josh was contacted by Bill Buckner, the Regional Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes with an opportunity to serve God as the Campus Director for Mississippi State University. In this position, Josh works closely with all the athletes at MSU through Bible studies, huddle meetings, and chapel services.  Josh serves as the chaplain for the MSU Football, Basketball, & Baseball Teams.

Josh also serves as the FCA as a Multi-Area Director. In this position, he supervises FCA staff and coordinates FCA activities for a 22 county area and over 150 high schools.
Josh has spoken to churches, youth & college conferences, & chapel services for several collegiate and professional football and baseball teams.
